Flames of Time

What an experience. I was truly transfixed and humbled by this place.

House on Fire is about 2 hrs south of Moab on BLM land and is a bit challenging to find. Thanks to fellow photographer Nicholas Whittall for the great directions on how to get there. The Anasazi ruins are nestled in a remote canyon in southeast Utah and for about two hours a day provide this reflective light that illuminates the red stone above the ancient home. It made for wonderful art...full of emotion, color, and energy. It also made me feel incredibly small in this world of ours. The antiquity that surrounds you is very humbling. It's a great place to experience on your own and ponder the questions that abound in this place. Listen to your heartbeat mesh with the Flames of Time.
